New Delhi, June 15 (ANI): Abhishek Choubey's directorial Udta Punjab has finally been given a go ahead for its release on Monday by Bombay High Court, with the demand of just one cut in the film. The entire cast and crew of the film was quite happy with the decision and could not stop themselves from thanking Anurag Kashyap for his relentless efforts in releasing the film. Shahid Kapoor in the recent press conference post the verdict by Bombay high court said it was very selfless of the director to stand for 'Udta Punjab' irrespective of the fact that his film 'Raman Raghav 2.0' is all set to release the next week. Talking about the verdict, Shahid said he completely stands for the judgment passed by Bombay High Court, adding that it gave a good future perspective for film fraternity as well as CBFC members. As far as 'Udta Punjab' is concerned, the film will be released on June 17, giving competition to the films 'Junooniyat' and 'Shorgul' which preponed their release assuming 'Udta Punjab' would not release on the same date.
