Jaipur (Rajasthan), Jan 26 (ANI): Speaking on the sidelines of the 2018 Jaipur Literature Festival, Film Director Vishal Bhardwaj on Friday, shared his views on the ongoing protests surrounding Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s controversial film ‘Padmaavat’. He said, he hopes that the state becomes “more powerful” to stop protests. He added, it’s sad that the films are becoming a target. Despite getting clearance from the Supreme Court, Sanjay Leela Bhansali magnum opus ‘Padmaavat’ has been facing protests. Various Hindu and Rajput fringe have raised objections over the epic drama alleging that Bhansali has distorted the history. The fringe groups including Karni Sena has gone on a rampage and vandalized cinema halls of various states for screening the movie.
