New Delhi, June 15 (ANI): American singer Ariana Grande will be the first person named as an honorary citizen of Manchester for her 'selfless' acts, including her recent 'One Love Manchester benefit concert', which raised millions for victims of the terror attack. As per the Independent, Manchester council members want to set up a new system so that Grande can receive an honorary citizenship from the city. It is said that the Manchester city council will make the 23-year-old American singer an honorary citizen of the city for her efforts in organising the One Love benefit concert. The Manchester City Council is also planning to hold an event to recognise the "great many selfless acts and demonstrations of community spirit in the aftermath of the atrocity". On a related note, the 'Break Free' hit-maker was joined by some of the biggest names in music, including Liam Gallagher, Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry, Robbie Williams, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber in the benefit concert. Around 50,000 people attended the event, which raised almost £3 million for victims.
