Masoor Dal – 1 cup
Ginger Garlic paste – 1 tsp
Chopped Onion – 2 med
Chopped Green Chili – 1 no
Chopped Tomato – 2 small
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Chili powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Goda masala powder – 2 tsp (For Recipe: https://goo.gl/F1Bnqi)
1.Take a pressure cooker, add 1 & 1/2 cup of Water and 1 cup of Masoor Dal and pressure cook it for 3 to 4 whistles.
2.Take a sauce pan, add little Oil, 1 tsp of Ginger Garlic paste, 2 medium sized finely Chopped Onion, 1 Chopped Green Chili and Saute it well.
3.Once Onion turns brown and raw smell goes off, add 2 small finely Chopped Tomatoes, 1/4 tsp of Turmeric powder, 1 tsp of Chili powder, 1 tsp of Coriander powder, 1 tsp of Cumin powder, 2 tsp of Goda masala powder, Salt and mix it well.
4.Now, add Cooked Masoor Dal and little Water.
5.Simmer it on medium low flame for 10 minutes.
6.Turn off the stove and garnish it with Coriander leaves and Desi Ghee.
Serve your Akkha Masoor with Naan or Chapati.
